Maxville Manor Embarks on $68 Million Redevelopment Project, Enhancing Community & Care Services
Maxville Manor is proud to announce its forthcoming redevelopment project, a transformative initiative aimed at elevating our facilities to provide unparalleled long-term care services to a broader community of seniors. With an estimated $68 million investment, generously supported in part by a recent Construction Funding Subsidy from the Ministry of Long-Term Care, this endeavor represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to excellence in elder care.
Our visionary plan encompasses a holistic approach to community building, with the Manor adopting a more intimate, home-like concept. Under this model, resident rooms will be arranged in clusters accommodating 16 individuals each, fostering a stronger sense of belonging and camaraderie among residents.
The redeveloped home will feature state-of-the-art amenities, including enhanced heating, ventilation, and infection prevention and control systems, ensuring the utmost safety and well-being of our residents. Moreover, modernized design elements will provide more functional, flexible, and accessible spaces, complemented by technological advancements, and upgraded parking and outdoor facilities. By completion, Maxville Manor will accommodate 160 individuals (an increase from 122), drawing residents from both our local community and across Eastern Ontario, an area where more than 40,000 seniors await long-term care, with over 100 currently on Maxville Manor's waitlist.
In conjunction with this momentous undertaking, we are thrilled to unveil our TOGETHER fundraising campaign. Designed to rally support from our community, this initiative aims to secure the necessary funds to propel the project forward in 2024 and realize our collective vision of a revitalized Maxville Manor. TOGETHER we build | we grow | we care.
Throughout this process, we remain steadfast in our commitment to minimizing disruptions to our community, prioritizing the health, safety, and comfort of our residents and staff above all else. As a valued supporter, we pledge to keep you informed on our social media platforms, our website & news articles.
